Undergraduate Research Internship Program (URIP)

Research Program: Environment & Sustainability
Principal Investigator: Centre in Mining Materials Research (CIMMR)

The goal of CIMMR URIP is to support exploratory-stage research in areas of interest to the mining industry by engaging undergraduate student involvement in relevant research projects. To qualify for the URIP, projects must fall under one of the following areas of interest:

  1. Novel approaches to address the mitigation, prevention or remediation of environmental damage caused by mineral industry activities
  2. Innovative applications of materials science techniques and technology to elucidate/improve mining-related issues/processes
