Glenn Lyle
Brief Biography
Glenn holds a Masters Degree in Mining Engineering, specializing in explosives and rock mechanics from Queen's University and is registered with the Province of Ontario as a Professional Engineer.
Prior to joining CEMI Glenn worked for 33 years at Vale Inco in a number of roles - most recently as Project Manager in the Mines Projects Development Group from Nov. 08 to March 09. He co-ordinated and provided direction on the work of several project leads, each capital project in range of $5-$20 million. From September 06 to November 08, Glenn was Superintendent of Central Mines Technical Services where he co-ordinated the work of the Mines Technical Services specialists and supported the talent pool development, oversaw the Engineer in Training Program, and recruiting efforts. He also held various operational and technical roles during his career, including Mine Superintendent and Chief Mines Engineer.
